Terms of Service
Last updated October 14, 2026
These terms are written to be read. By signing in to Plateful, you agree to them.
Who runs Plateful
Plateful is run by Petar Blazhevski as an individual. You can reach him at hello@useplateful.com, or at privacy@useplateful.com for anything about your data.
Your account
- Anyone can sign up. An account is created when you sign up with a password or a code we email you, and your email address has to be confirmed before it can be used.
- You must be at least 16 to use Plateful.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself; you're responsible for what happens on your account.
Your recipes are yours
You keep ownership of the recipes, photos and notes you add. You give us only the permission needed to store them and show them back to you — and, for a recipe you share, to show it to anyone with the link and let signed-in readers save a copy. Only add content you have the right to use: a recipe from someone else's book or site is for your own cooking, so credit the original author and don't share it as your own.
Sharing
When you share a recipe, anyone with the link can read it, and signed-in readers can save a copy to their own library. Unsharing stops the link but does not take back copies already saved. We may block a shared recipe that is reported and breaks these terms; you'll see the reason on the recipe.
Fair use
- Use Plateful for your own cooking, not to republish other people's content at scale.
- Don't try to break, overload or scrape the service.
- Don't share anything unlawful, hateful or meant to harass.
Cooking safely
Plateful organises recipes; it doesn't check them. Scaled quantities, timings, and imported details may contain mistakes. Always use your own judgement about allergens, food safety, and doneness.
The service
Plateful is free. Features may change, and it may sometimes be unavailable. It is provided as it is, without guarantees. We work hard to protect your data, but please keep your own copies of recipes that matter to you. If Plateful ever shuts down, we'll tell you by email first.
Liability
As far as the law allows, we're not liable for lost data or for indirect losses from using Plateful. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer.
Ending your account
You can stop using Plateful and ask for your account to be deleted at any time — see the Privacy Policy. We may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live elsewhere in the EU, you keep the protection of your own country's consumer law and can bring a claim in your own courts.
Changes to these terms
We'll tell you by email before any meaningful change takes effect.
